Minority Report (2002)

Minority Report has one of the best track records on this list for predicting actual technology. Those gesture-controlled screens looked like pure science fiction in 2002, and now we swipe and pinch our phones all day long. Adverts that know who you are? That's just the internet now. Even the central idea, predicting crimes before they happen, isn't a million miles from the algorithms some police forces have experimented with. Where the science falls apart is the "precogs" - people who can see the future are firmly in the realm of fantasy. But it's a clever, stylish thriller, and I think it's one of Spielberg's most underrated films.
